Salter 1. Laning Vein. This was made from the one third remaining from the original Oculus block (in masonry terms these are sister blocks). The sense of circular, precession and energy is exaggerated by the concentric pattern revealed by the polished layers of the material. The formidable and relentless power of the ocean holds such promise as a renewable energy resource. Presented on a sculpted Bath Stone plinth. Salter_1 is named after Professor Stephen Salter, a pioneer in wave engineering and wave energy conversion.
